My fellow retards,
Phonon is the GOAT. Phon/ongod appreciates how phrens have taken a liking to these incredible creatures.
Though goats are admirable, they are probably not the most fitting representation of the technology. Early on, the deacon suggested Balrogs as a mascot. These beasts lie dormant in the deep dark places of the world. but have been known to do battle with grey wizards which end with the Balrog’s inevitable ruin smote upon the mountainside.
Maybe the phonon technology can better defined in the lives of…
Burrowing owls
The burrowing owl spends an incredible amount of time hidden underground in tunnels. Often times these tunnels are dug by other species such as tortoises, armadillos, skunks or other nesters. It matters not to the burrowing owl, he uses them because it is to his benefit. Many users of the phonon technology will not create the phonons, will not dig the tunnels, instead will use the infrastructure in place and transact phonon packets created by other users—perhaps via some non-Phonon frontend without even knowing. They could swoop in and find a beautiful hidden packet to transact across invisible pathways with the other side…
Burrowing owls are opportunistic. If they were to see an underground tunnel with better properties than their own they would swap out and begin to own this new tunnel system. Nobody above ground knows what is going on beneath the surface. Nobody watching the blockchain or gluing their eyes to etherscan (as if the screen were filled with brad pitt’s hard abs from fight club) gets an insight into these tunneled transactions. Phonon provides that perfect level of privacy, and us phrens get to do our best impression of the burrowing owl.
