My fellow retards ,
Phon/ongod met Vitalik back in 2015. This was in the days of sub $1 eth. There was a different feel to the ecosystem. It was small, you felt like you *could* get to know everybody. Nearly all were approachable, and willing to chat. There was excitement everywhere. Partially because of the unknowns. Most in the space at the time knew Ethereum would become big, they just didn’t know what would give it the necessary impetus.
Now, you can’t just ping V to talk to him. You can’t reach out to people in the space and expect a reply. Everything has grown too big. It’s good and bad. You can’t hit up a random founder and get 30 minutes on their calendar to talk to them, not when they are managing a multi-billion dollar project. It’s understandable.
What you should do is find projects that resonate with you while they are small. Search for those gems. Reach out to their teams. Request a meeting, ask questions. Find out if the leaders are people you can support.
Go to meetups. In Austin you can find GridPlus team members who have built Phonon. Find out when they are talking, go have a beer, tickle their imagination with your thoughts on Phonon. Get involved. There’s only going to be a small window when you can do this before the project gets too big to be personal, you ought to make use of it.
The PHONON DAO Discord is growing by the day
