My fellow retards,
When the swordsman stands against his opponent, he is not to think of the opponent, nor of himself, nor of his enemy's sword movements. He just stands there with his sword which, regardless of all technique, is ready only to follow the dictates of the subconscious.
Vibrations and flow states are very much in vogue right now. After at least a century of “the science” being pretty haughtily closed off to spooky-woo-woo ideas about the power of the mind, it seems as if academics are finally catching up to warrior-monks, zen-masters, artists, and athletes when it comes to how they understand the mind in motion.
Elves often conceive of human action as the deliberate process of conception and execution, and agree that conception starts with the act of allowing your heart to reflect its desires into the world around it.
If this rudimentary model holds true, the cyclic process of “making decisions in the moment” can be reduced simply to: Be, Do, Be, Do, Be, Do, Be, Do, Be, Do, Be, Do…
Comical reductions aside, the concept of a decision-making loop has been popular in the West since at least the Korean War but according to Miyamoto Musashi;
“The way to win in a battle according to military science is to know the rhythms
of the specific opponents, and use rhythms that your opponents do not expect.”
Clearly the idea had been kicked around a bit before John Boyd codified it as the OODA-loop:
The fighter pilot’s depiction of the thought processes that manifest in combat are applicable to any consequential decisionmaking. As far as any elves are aware, Phonon DAO is not comprised of highly-trained warfighters, but the team is pretty damn capable in its own right. It works for the task at hand—grow Phonon into a force for humanity.
Phrens have instincts and awareness that simply can’t be related through a command structure...they should dispel the notion that all their ideas must be referred through a central decisionmaker before being acted upon. As Phren Rooster is always excited to quote—shooters shoot.
Another well worn trope, at least in gun-toting circles is this:
The only thing worse than a miss is a slow miss.
In the DAO’s case this again applies to leadership and decisionmaking. In the eyes of your humble deacon, there is a world full of high-value targets and a team full of shooters. Realistically Phonon doesn’t have to hit every target to win, but the right shot at the right time can make all the difference.
Without getting deep into strategic outlooks, here are some initiatives that have been suggested to enhance the DAO’s ability to hit the shots as soon as they pop up:
Update the multisig to 5/12
Replace inactive signers
Add more Phonon to L2
Empower Phren Justin to officially negotiate deals on the DAO’s behalf
Phonon is surrounded with juicy targets. There are probably a dozen members who can arrange 6 and 7 figure partnerships just as soon as the DAO empowers its heavy hitters with the green light to operate.
Phonon DAO will flow outward into the world through the decisions of the individuals who comprise it, once they have been freed to act.
Tips to phonongod.eth will be invested in bounties that advance the Phonon project.
Hatemail to phonongod@protonmail.com will be scathingly considered.
Targets for the marketcap of PHONON DAO remain:
$1b by Q2 2022, $12b by EOY.
On the high end, $300b marketcap in 3 years.
