My fellow retard,
You can learn a lot about a project just by looking at the founders and the early community.
Vitalik is a shining light. Those who have spent time with him know he is brilliant, but he doesn’t rub it in. Instead he does a good job of speaking at a level you can grasp, though you know and he knows that he can go much deeper.
Gavin Wood is also brilliant. When talking to him, he makes sure you know it. He’s got some British humor and can be a bit of a dick, but he’s certainly brilliant and without him Ethereum likely wouldn’t exist.
Charles is also smart, but he wants you and the world to recognize that. Maybe not quite the power-level of Vitalik or Gavin, but he wants to be on that pedestal. He is a hustler (good kind) though, and he’s willing to put in the work to make his dreams a reality.
Without delving into the other technically competent cofounders of Ethereum, V put together a stellar crew. He was welcoming to those who understood his vision and wanted to contribute. Sure, some people leeched on and became filthy rich without putting in all of the effort, but these things happen.
You should try to understand the philosophical leanings and perspectives of your founders. It’s important as they guide the early community of any project.
With Phonon, you have Ph.D Karl Kreder. Meme-worthy in a similar sense to Sergey of Chainlink, Dr. Kreder is an unapologetic Texan and adherent of liberty. He fights for freedom and for your rights. The systems he designs have those attributes inherent. That is what you get when you join projects he guides.
